Weekly Update 4/27- Planning the Future

Friends and fellow gamers, I would like to apologize for my scatterbrained actions concerning the events we are currently planning.  I want to hit some key points and topics concerning them in a little bit.  Right now I want to address the publicity of L33t Str33t.  We currently are working on several forms of advertisement and such things to get our name out, but we are currently requiring heavily on word of mouth.  PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

CLOSE QUARTERS


Due to the massive amounts of planning that this tournament is taking, we are planning on holding it in early June.  Which provides you with a little more time to gather teams, spread the word, and prepare yourselves for the carnage.  


The rules and regs that have been posted are subject to change, but we are fairly certain that any changes will be minor.  We are aiming at making this as similar to a sporting event as we can with the focus on the 2 teams playing.  This provides you the chance to watch your opponents for their strengths and weaknesses, plot and strategize with your own team, and make lots of new friends with other gamers.  


Registration information is on the way.  As soon as we know the exact date and location we will release the form and payment info.  Teams will be required to pay and entrance fee of $5 per person so that we can provide prizes and other perks.  I would prefer that the team pay all through one person, but I will be making an individual payment option.  


LEAGUES


To build anticipation for the arrival of Close Quarters, we are crafting the L33t Halo League (LHL).  We aren't anticipating many people to sign up, but we are anticipating lots of killer Halo gameplay.  As always, more information is on the way.  Head over to the Leagues page to read more about LHL.

• Starcraft Leagues (1v1 and teams)
• COD Leagues
• And we are entertaining the thought of Super Smash Bros.

OVERHAUL SO SOON?


I am currently busy overseeing the progress on a massive web design overhaul for L33t Str33t.  I know we have only been in operation for a week, but I figure it should be done right the first time.  So expect changes in the near future.  None of them should affect the sites functionality, and if they do rest assured I will be breathing down somones neck until the mistake is rectified.
