Weekly Update 5/4- Shoulder your guns, It's time to roll!

The clock is ticking friends, Close Quarters is only a month away.  Who will be playing on your team?  If you missed the registration post, scroll down a bit or click here to read all the details and get your team signed up.  We are very excited for the coming events and would like to give a shout out to our sponsors- Top Hat, Parsons Bakery, Costa Vida, and Xe Energy.  Without these guys the tournament we are presenting for you wouldn't be possible.

ADDITIONS TO CLOSE QUARTERS

Some things that we are adding to Close Quarters that were not mentioned in the previous post: We will be providing food and drinks.  Don't expect much outside the realm of Mountain Dew and pizza, since that is the classic gaming snack.  Supply will be limited so eat and drink in moderation.

The top three teams will be receiving prizes.  First place will receive 4 $10 gift cards to GameStop and 4 packs of Mountain Dew.  Second will receive the Top Hat prize, along with a cube of Dew to do with as they please.  And Third place will receive 4 certificates to Parsons Bakery for 3 free doughnuts.  

CLEAR EYES AND OPEN HEARTS

We have been doing a lot of planning for the future so that we can bring you the best news, action, laughs, and whatever else your heart desires (hopefully not more than that, cause thats all we planned for).  I just wanted to hit you with some prospects for the future.

After the Close Quarters Tournament we will be launching our first league, also featuring Halo: Reach.  If you are not participating in the tournament but would like to register for the team, registration details will be up soon enough.  Along with that we came up with some games that we want to do additional leagues for.

• Call of Duty: Black Ops
• Mortal Kombat
• StarCraft

More games are coming, I promise.  But we have solid plan for these games, and as soon as we get rolling on the Halo league we will launch details on the signups for these games.  Don't hesitate to give us some input on what games you would like to play either; you can do that on our Facebook page or via email at leetstreetmedia@gmail.com

I am especially excited for this next announcement.  To bring you your laughs and challenges of your own, we are going to introduce the Xbox Life Achievables.  Real life achievements that we film, post on youtube, and then you can go film yourself doing them.  We almost died of laughter just thinking of ideas, so we know you will die of laughter watching them unfold.  Stay tuned for the debut Achievable: Discovering the Dollar Menu... (Thanks to Caboose for the inspiration) 

OVERHAUL

As you may know, we are currently working with the good people at Designer Blogs to revamp our website and give us a more user-friendly look and functionality.  I would like to apologize in advance for the current Nav Bar issues, and anything else that you may be having trouble with.  Everything will be sorted out shortly.  

FACEPALM OF THE WEEK

This is something fun Im going to start adding to my updates, the facepalm of the week. 

This week I would like to honor 'Creepass Facebook Stalkers'.  I wont bore you with the details of my most recent episode, but we have all had our fair share of them.  I would recommend you all execute a friend purge.... ASAP.
